IARMA Environmental Radioactivity Proficiency Test on the Determination of Carbon-14 in Water
ECARB-PT-2025
Target laboratories: Laboratories working in the field of measurement of C-14 activities in water using an analytical technique for monitoring drinking water supplies for C-14 activities according to internationally agreed guidelines and limits.
Proficiency test material: The Proficiency Test will consist of 4 water spiked items (from 0.1 to 100 Bq/l). The items can be analysed using Liquid Scintillation / Gas Proportional Counting or using any other radiochemical procedure.
The IARMA environmental radioactivity proficiency tests are conducted according to predefined criteria, for more information please refer to: PT General Procedure and Criteria for environmental radioactivity proficiency tests.
